WE'RE HOME!!!
Just wanted to post a quick message to let everyone know we have made it back!!
We got back safe and to crying Grandma's and Aunt's....at the aitport... it was there "Gotcha Day" ....it was very cool!!
I will post a journal tonight!! :)
I have been overwelmed by the response to this webiste and the amount of people following us.......it has taken a life of it's own!! I wish I had better spelling grammer for you people....ahh, but then again it wouldn't be me! ;)

Wow! You guys have been through a lot, but it has all been worth it in the end. We have been looking at all the pictures and reading all of the journals. Soon enough YOU will be fighting off all the boys! She is a very beautiful little girl, in other words, she takes after her mother, sorry Doug. But it does look like she has your hair, Doug! Ha ha! This is such an awesome blessing that God has placed upon all of you. Laine couldn't get any better parents. You all are in our prayers and we can't wait to see you in November.

We just got home from Corinne's so I went straight to your journal and pictures. It sounds like the last few days have been pretty hectic and Home Day is coming up soon.

Just a quick message to let everyone know that we made it to Guangzhou. We go for Laine's goes for Medical exam and visa photo in the morning then we are free for the afternoon. The hotel we are in is FULL of babies and there new families, over a 100 at least!!

| Wanted to let you know thaat Karen & Orion were with Pops and I at the house. Karen cut the grass( why to much grass) ane water the flowers( they still look really nice. Karen was having fun putting the toys together.After we were all done and were eating guess who shows up. The Boys!!!! Greg, Trevor and George. What perfect timing. Of course they were hungry? Hi Hi Hi, I'm overwhelmed at what I've seen and jounals I've read!! My computer was not working to let me open any websites,what bad timing.. finally got some tech help who knew how to fix an imac!!
I packed the 7 days into a few hrs. and feel like I've been right there with you and Laine!!! Emotionally exhausted!
She's too sweet and beautiful beyond words,can't describe how happy and relieved we are that your little girl is finally in your arms.
The rain that you've had are all the tears of joy from your families back home. CAN"T WAIT to see the new Mommy and Daddy and hold your precious Laine and give her a big hug and kiss.
This technology is something else,your pictures,which were great,and your journals,that were so expressive and emotional, really helped all of us back here feel like we are part of this blessed event.

Laine sure looks like a happy little girl and so do Mom and Dad look like the are busting t the seams with their little angel. How does it feel to have baby in tote. Mar you are going to develope some strong legs? Or one shorter then the other. No twins today but there were 2 people here adopting there 2nd and I think only 3 of us families are first time parents because quite a few have bio children but I could be wrong about that stat. There is another family we were with in Beijing, they went to another province and we will meet back up with them in Ghoungzhou..they have 2 bio children, and are with there other 3 chinese adopted children for there fouth round here..this is number six! That beats twins in my book! Sure could go for a corned beef sandwich right about now!

Since your journey to China is to conclude the adoption of a beautiful young girl, here are some biblical thoughts on adoption!

Adoption is shown favorably throughout Scripture as a way that God uses people to do His will and bring Him glory.
The story is told in the book of Exodus about a Hebrew woman named Jochebed who bore a son during a time period where Pharaoh (the king) was ordering all the male infants to be put to death in order to control population (Exodus 1:15-22). Jochebed took a basket, waterproofed it with tar and pitch, and sent the baby down the river in the basket.
One of Pharaoh’s daughter's spotted the basket and retrieved the child. He was eventually adopted into this royal family and was given the name Moses. He went on to become a faithful and blessed servant of God (Exodus 2:1-10).
In the biblical book of Esther, a beautiful girl named Esther, who was adopted by her cousin after her parents' death, became a prominent female figure in the Old Testament. Esther became a queen and God used her to bring deliverance to the Jewish people. In the New Testament, God's one and only Son, Jesus Christ, was conceived through the Holy Spirit instead of through the seed of a man (Matthew 1:18). He was adopted and raised by His mother's husband, Joseph, who took Jesus in as his own child.
Once we give our hearts to Christ, believing and trusting in Him alone for salvation, God says we become part of His family – not through the natural process of human conception, but through adoption. “So you should not be like cowering, fearful slaves. You should behave instead like God's very own children, adopted into His family – calling Him 'Father, dear Father'” (Romans 8:15). Bringing a person into a family by means of adoption is done by choice and out of love. “His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave Him great pleasure” (Ephesians 1:5).
